A Celebration of Mavis's life will be officiated by Celebrant Raenor Pinson.

Mavis's family would like to thank Peninsula Village at Umina for all their kindness and care.

Mavis passed away peacefully at Peninsula Village at Umina on Wednesday September 2, 2009 at the age of 94 years. Although Mavis had lived at Peninsula Village for some 10 years, she spent many happy years at Ettalong Beach.

Mavis Esme Turnell was born on April 21, 1915 at Marrickville to William and Stella (nee Bartlett) Turnell. At the age of 21 years, Mavis married her sweetheart Frederick Lower. They were blessed with two children, Jan and Graham.

A loving wife to Fred (deceased), Mavis was a much loved mother and mother in law to Jan and Brian, Graham and Jill. Dear Nanna to Karen, Joanne, Greg, Matthew, Jayne and Brett and great grandmother to Sarah, Ben, Amy, Ryan, Jess, Michael and Kelly and great great grandmother to Tiara, Byron and Summer. Mavis will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.
